All Rutgers University employees will be introduced to the next phase of the RIAS project, Human Resources, Payroll, and Budgeting, during its implementation in January 2011. This next phase will:
- eliminate the current labor intensive paper processes university wide
- provide a unique employee ID to replace the social security number
- give employees online access to view and initiate changes to their own personal records
- offer online time entry and approval
- provide online paycheck advice and forms processing, such as W4s
- allow for multiple direct deposit accounts
- automate retroactivity processing for labor contracts
- offer a mechanism for faculty tenure tracking
- provide a budgeting tool that is flexible and responsive to employee needs
The RIAS web site will soon include more details on the activities of RIAS Phase III and give you a better understanding of how this project will affect you and your department. The web site will also incorporate links for future communications and training.
